Installing AudioEye is easy with Google Tag Manager

Intended Audience: Google Tag Manager Administrators

Steps to add AudioEye using Google Tag Manager

Before beginning:

  1. Log in to the AudioEye Platform or visit AudioEye.com and use the Start Free Trial button at the top of the page to begin a 14-day free trial.
  2. In the Site settings menu, activate AudioEye installation.
  3. Select Google Tag Manager from the Installation methods dropdown.
  4. Copy the AudioEye Site ID using the Copy ID button.

Installation

  1. Log in to Google Tag Manager.
  2. Select the website you wish to add AudioEye to.
  3. Open Tags in the sidebar menu.
  4. Click/activate New to create a tag.
  5. Name the tag, such as "AudioEye."
  6. Click/activate the Tag Configuration section to choose a tag type.
  7. Choose AudioEye from the Community Template Gallery.
  8. Paste the AudioEye Site ID into the AudioEye Site ID field in Tag Configuration.
  9. Publish the changes.

Verify Installation

  1. Navigate back to the Installation page on the AudioEye Platform.
  2. Activate the Verify Installation button.
  3. Locate the AudioEye Accessibility Help Desk button on the website.

Still having trouble?

  • Verify that the domain registered on the AudioEye Platform matches the domain of the site that AudioEye is being installed on.
  • Note that it may take up to 24 hours after users have visited the site for accessibility monitoring data to start populating on the AudioEye Platform.
  • Users with limited permissions may need to send installation instructions to an administrator. On the Installation page on the AudioEye Platform, activate the Send Instructions button to send instructions to an administrator’s email address.
